Extractions and Oral Surgery

Tooth extractions are carried out under local anaesthetic to make extractions as painless as possible. We use periotomes and luxators as well as gentle extraction techniques to preserve as much jaw bone as possible. This is important as this will ensure minimal post operative pain and swelling, and will also help bone retention for future implant work.

Procedures include:-

• The extraction of difficult teeth
• Extraction of broken roots, still embedded in the jawbone
• Impacted wisdom teeth surgical extraction
• Surgical removal of cysts or other growths from the jaw
• Bone augmentation prior to implant placement
• Soft tissue surgery such as biopsies
• Malposition
• Extra teeth

Patients may be advised to take some medications and have proper diet before the surgery or extraction.post surgical instructions should be followed wisely by the patient.
